The artist.

Sorin Bica is a contemporary artist based in Metro Boston. He is widely known for his bold abstract paintings and murals. Bica's use of intense color and expressive figures are hallmark throughout his portfolio.

Bica is a native of Bucharest, Romania. As a child he studied at Scoala Populara de Arta, and became a political cartoonist early in his career. He relocated to the US in 1988 and studied art at Worcester State University.
 

The curator.

Sorin Bica has spearheaded two galleries that are instrumental in defining the Metro Boston arts scene.

Sorin is the founder and curator of Framingham Contemporary Artists Group, that exhibited local artists at the gallery located in the Springdale Barrel Room of renowned Jack's Abby Brewery, purveyors of local craft ale and lager. 

The second one, Project B Gallery is a commercial art gallery who's primary mission is to bring the best original and fresh art to the local art lovers and collectors. It is located in The Mill Contemporary Art in the historic Saxonville Mills on the northside of Framingham.

The community leader.

Sorin Bica is a community leader. He is a celebrated public arts advocate, muralist and project coordinator. Bica has presented to students in the Framingham Public Schools system. He has participated in Art Week Boston, Street Pianos, SOWA Art Walk, downtown revitalization and other charitable events.
